Case Report on Right Chronic Dacryocystitis with Lacrimal Sac Abscess

Background: Dacryocystitis of the lacrimal sac, can be acute or chronic. Chronic dacryocystitis is prevalent, but uncommon, and it's usually caused by a nasolacrimal duct obstruction. Traumatic injury, infections, inflammations, neoplasms are all possible causes obstruction (NLDO). Whatever NLDO, it leads to stalling tears, accumulation mucoid secretions, desquamation cells, providing an ideal environment for bacterial infections development dacryocystitis. Case presentation: A 23 years old male came ENT department with chief complaint right eye watery discharge 1 year, lower eyelid swelling pain over side face month. The patient had history road traffic accidents one year ago. For that, he underwent open reduction internal fixation. But after 9 months, was having frontozygomatic suture region infected plate which surgery Removal orbital volume correction. He 2 units blood transfusion no allergic reaction. On arrival, physical examination carried out shows eyelids along tenderness. Contrast Enhanced Computed Tomography paranasal sinuses done dacryocystography under local anesthesia that has undergone through Dacryocystorhinostomy general later treated antibiotics, analgesics, antacids.Conclusion: It inflammation tear-producing gland. types namely, primary secondary types. variety, affects 80% more women, widespread distinguished strong sex preference. most significant contributing component its cause appears heredity. prevalence second variant uncommon roughly equal in both sexes. brought on illness injury nearby parts. An external dacryocystorhinostomy best method treatment this condition.
